While Palworld has attracted attention with the nickname “Pokémon with gun” the game has just revealed its roadmap with significant improvements and expansions, exciting the player community.
Update on 3 new features in Palworld
Looking into the future, the roadmap outlines three main features that will appear in upcoming updates. The first and most important is the introduction of the Player vs Player (PvP) function, allowing players to engage in battles with each other.
Furthermore, PvP for creature-like Pokémon called Pals will introduce another Class into the game. Additionally, the game’s campaigns will be supplemented by the addition of powerful Bosses in the future.
Alongside these features, Pocketpair also plans to enrich the Palworld experience by introducing “new islands, Pals, Bosses with new technology.”
However, before these new features appear in the game, developers are focusing on addressing important issues that persist in the game. Pocketpair acknowledges the challenges posed by the widespread popularity of the game, especially concerning “access overload.” The development team is actively working to address these issues, focusing on bug fixes and implementing anti-cheat measures.
In addition to in-game improvements, the roadmap also signals the introduction of multiplayer and cross-play features between Steam and Xbox, creating a stronger connected gaming community. Clearly, Pocketpair is committed to making the gaming experience smoother and more enjoyable for players on different platforms.
Basic and useful tools for raising Pals in Palworld
Catching and setting up tasks for Pals, similar to Pokémon, is not the only thing you can do in the new and highly successful survival game of 2024 – Palworld. By raising them, you will unlock new skills, discover new Pals, or simply expand your uncontrollable workforce, creating many feet and claws to carry out your desires.
To start, you need to reach level 19, have a pair of Pals with different genders, a Farm, Bread, and an Egg Incubator (similar to real life).
You will build your Farm like you would with other structures in Palworld. Upon reaching level 19, players can unlock the Farm with two points and can continue building it with 100 Wood Chips, 50 Fabric, and 20 Stones.
To prepare the Breeding Farm, you will need to bake a Bread in a cooking pot or stove with 8 Red Berries, 8 Eggs, 7 Liters of Milk, 5 Flour, and 2 Honey. Place the Bread in the breeding farm chest, then bring two compatible Pals working at your base to the Farm.
If you follow all these steps, you will see a HUD notification with the title “Breeding… Love is blossoming between the two Pals.”
After the breeding process is complete, you will need to place the produced Egg into the Egg Incubator, which you can build at level 7. With a cost of 1 classic technology point, it requires 30 Stones, 10 Paladium Fragments, 5 Fiber, and 2 Ancient Civilization to build the Egg Incubator. Place the Egg into the Incubator and wait for it to complete. The incubation process can take up to 20 minutes.
Using Kimpton‘s Pal Breeding Calculator
Palworld is still relatively new, so people are still discovering many of its secrets, including the results of nearly 20,000 breeding combinations. To simplify predicting Pal combinations, be sure to use the calculator at Kimpton’s Pal Breeding Guide. Here, you can combine different Pals to see what the offspring will be like and determine the Pals you will need to create a specific one.
With many tasks you can assign to your Pals, having additional Pals helps. And while you can always freely roam the plains of Palworld to find more, sometimes maintaining and creating a small family of Pals on your own seems better.
