Teamfight Tactics Set 11 introduces a thrilling new mechanic: Inkshadow Items. This unique class of equipment belongs solely to the Inkshadow trait, offering immense power at a potential cost.
The Essence of Inkshadow Items
Inkshadow Items function with a risk-reward philosophy reminiscent of Zaun technology from TFT Set 9.5. To wield them, you’ll need to strategically activate the Inkshadow trait:
- 3 Inkshadows: Grants your team 1 Item, +5% damage dealt & reduced.
- 5 Inkshadows: Grants 2 Items, +7% damage dealt & reduced.
- 7 Inkshadows: The ultimate threshold – 4 Items, +10% damage dealt & reduced.
Importantly, you can only remove a Inkshadow Item from a champion by placing them on the bench. This adds a significant layer of tactical decision-making!
The Arsenal of Shadows
Let’s delve into the six Inkshadow Items and their potent effects:
1. Tattoo of Protection
- Effect: Creates a massive shield equal to 50% of the wearer’s maximum health. Upon shattering, the shield fragments, granting 2 adjacent allies 50% of its original value while healing the wearer for 450 HP.
- Best Suited For: Frontline tanks who need both initial survivability and a way to support their team when focused.
2. Tattoo of Vitality
- Effect: Basic attacks heal the wearer for 2.5% of their maximum health and deal an equivalent amount of bonus magic damage. Also grants 350 bonus HP.
- Best Suited For: Sustain fighters and carries that benefit from lifesteal and extra bulk, turning them into self-sufficient threats.
3. Tattoo of Toxin
- Effect: Attacks inflict 50% increased damage and a grievous 33% healing reduction. Grants the champion 35 AD and 35 AP.
- Best Suited For: Carries who rely on raw damage output. The healing reduction component is especially potent against enemy sustain.
4. Tattoo of Fury
- Effect: Wearer deals 35% increased damage to targets below 50% HP. If a kill is secured, they gain a massive 40% attack speed boost for 6 seconds.
- Best Suited For: Assassins and execute-style carries that aim to quickly finish off weakened targets and snowball.
5. Tattoo of Bombardment
- Effect: Every third attack launches a projectile at the 2 lowest-health enemies, dealing 100% of the wearer’s AD as physical damage.
- Best Suited For: AD carries looking to spread their damage and apply pressure across multiple targets.
6. Tattoo of Force
- Effect: Upon switching targets, the wearer instantly dashes to the new enemy, stunning them, and dealing 300 magic damage. The item’s stats are doubled. Grants 45 Armor and MR.
- Best Suited For: Agile melee champions who thrive in disrupting enemy positioning and can benefit from the mix of offensive and defensive stats.
Strategic Considerations
Inkshadow Items add a fascinating layer of complexity to TFT Set 11. Balancing the power boost against the commitment required when equipping them is crucial. Consider your team composition, prioritize item holders wisely, and be flexible enough to adapt your strategy as needed!
